Everything your school needs to run an English-learning adventure with Double R Explorer — from creating your first trip to sending students out on the trail.
Double R Explorer turns real places into English-learning detective missions. A teacher builds a trip — a route of checkpoints at real locations such as heritage buildings, monuments and sights. At each checkpoint, students unlock a complete mini-lesson and earn stars as they solve it. The game works outdoors with GPS, in the classroom, and offline.
Open the app and press Log in. New teachers can create an account in seconds with email or Google.
In the Teacher Dashboard, fill in the trip name, a short description and the 6-character student code. Students will use this code to open your trip.
Add a checkpoint for each stop on the route. Search the location to place it on the map, or type the name and coordinates. Set the unlock radius (100 m by default).
Press Generate AI Content & Image. The app researches the real place, then creates a watercolour illustration, 3 vocabulary words, 5 quest questions (4 factual + 1 amazing fact), 3 Word Powers questions and 1 reflection prompt. Click any checkpoint to review and edit everything — or write your own.
Press Publish Trip. Give your students the 6-character code — they enter it under "Students — Open a Case".
3 key words with meaning and example — tap the speaker to hear the whole entry read aloud.
5 multiple-choice questions about the real place — 4 factual and 1 amazing fact.
3 questions on word derivatives (prison → prisoner, imprison, imprisonment) that grow each vocabulary word.
1 reflection question with no right or wrong answer — students pick a choice or write their own.
After entering the code, students download the trip once. Everything then works without internet — progress syncs automatically when back online.
Walk to each checkpoint — GPS unlocks the lesson when the student is within the radius you set.
The same trip plays as sequential levels anywhere, perfect for revision after the visit.
Every checkpoint completed earns stars and XP, so classes can compete and track progress.
